I’m Carlo Sweering. Officially retired, endlessly curious, and still fascinated by the computers and connections that shaped my life.
Curiosity became a career. Helping people made it meaningful.
Computers have fascinated me since 1979. What began as curiosity grew into more than four decades of practical experience—building, repairing, connecting and improving the technology people rely on every day.
Over the years, I have helped people in France and beyond. I created and improved WordPress websites, solved difficult technical problems, offered calm remote support, and built secure systems with Docker, Debian and Nextcloud.
I have never wanted technology to make someone feel small. My approach has always been to listen, explain things clearly, and leave people with something that simply works. Retirement changed my professional status, but it did not take away my curiosity.

Experience becomes more valuable when it is shared. This site gives me a place to preserve lessons, ideas and discoveries.

The sea at my doorstep.
Living in Le Cannet, close to Cannes, is something I remain deeply grateful for. The Mediterranean light, the hills, the markets and the sound of the sea bring a calmer rhythm to everyday life.
A walk along the coast can clear the mind after hours at a screen. It reminds me that good work and a good life do not need to compete. From here, I can help someone on the other side of the world—and still step outside to feel the Riviera sun.
